NOT me Monday!

Here we go again...

I did NOT work on an important document at work this week and completely lose it when my computer froze up! And I did NOT then cry about it! That would be so embarassing!

I did NOT trip over my daughter's bath tub the other day and have my husband catch me! And no, she does NOT still use a baby bath tub because ours is too slippery!

I did NOT get lost in my office building the other day. After working there for over two years, I did NOT have to go check the number on the elevator to see what floor I was on!

I did NOT use the men's bathroom in Food Lion because I really needed to go and they were cleaning the women's room!

I do NOT find thorough enjoyment in putting sunglasses on my daughter's face. And she does NOT also love it! And I did NOT just totally write that just so I could include this picture!

Peyton's Teeth

Have I ever mentioned how much I love the gap in Peyton's front teeth? Because I really do! I'm sure it will close up when she gets all her teeth, but I think it's soooo cute!!

Peyton has been walking since around 9 months. This week, she finally realized she can crawl Check her out!

Day at the Pool

On Saturday, we spent a day at the pool. Peyton only stayed about 30 minutes before Grandaddy picked her up because the water was so cold! It was such a relaxing day, although the adults may have got a TAD bit too much sun.

Pampered Chef

On Friday night, I hosted a Pampered Chef party, which is funny since I don't cook! But it was fun, and the food was yummy!
Aubrey had a lot of fun too! Here she is with her mommy and Auntie Megan.
Brianna was in town for the weekend. Peyton had lots of fun playing with Auntie Bri!
Future BFFs!

Not Me Mondays!

I love reading Not Me Monday posts. MckMama, who is a fantastic blog author, started this, and I thought I'd try it!

This week I definitely did NOT let my 13 month old daughter try my Diet Coke because she wouldn't stop whining for it, then proceed to laugh when she spit it out!

I did NOT see a girl at the grocery store whose blog I read (she is a complete stranger). Then I did NOT stare at her, whispering to my husband, "I read her blog." That would just be creepy. And I am NOT a blog stalker!

I did NOT spill a bunch of juice on the floor and leave it because I knew the dog would lick it up!

I did NOT slide 3 feet while walking in some mud. I did NOT get my feet covered in mud up to my ankles, and I did NOT almost fall on my butt in my white shorts!

I did NOT bring up the topic of bowel movements after childbirth at dinner with our "friend family," Brandon (my brother), his wife and one of my best friends Megan, and some of our best friends Randy and Lindsay. And I did NOT describe my experience in detail. That would just be wrong!

And last but not least, I did not crack up in laughter when James and I looked at a house that was for sale by owner when the man (who is from a different country) said, "My son has two kids and a "turd" on the way!"

And because a post is always better with a picture, I leave you with this to brighten your Monday!

Share Jesus Without Fear

James and I are taking an awesome class at church about how to witness without fear. Christians can be so afraid to witness to the lost, whether it be a fear of rejection, a fear of not knowing what to say, or being ridiculed. Anyway, tonight, we learned a really cool way to bring up the subject with someone. You just ask 5 simple questions and let the person answer. Don't interrupt them or tell them what you think. Just listen.

Question 1: Do you have any kind of spiritual beliefs?
Question 2: To you, who is Jesus?
Question 3: Do you believe there are a heaven and a hell?
Question 4: If you died right now, where would you go?
Question 5: If what you believe were not true, would you want to know it?

If the person answers yes to #5, then go into sharing scripture, having the person read out loud. Then, watch what happens! And remember, if the person does not surrender their lives to God after you witnessed to them, they did not reject you, they rejected Jesus. This is a very non-confrontational way to witness that is very natural. Try it sometime this week!

Pigtails, chicken pox, and swingsets.... oh my!

Here are some pictures of Peyton's first pigtails! I love them!

Last week, Peyton got the chicken pox.... from the vaccination. What's the point of the vaccination then you ask.... that's what we wanted to know too! It was a mild case though, and she got through it like a trooper. Check out the spots!

Last weekend, we bought Peyton a swingset. She loves it! Everytime we go out the back door, she points at it and says, "Look!"

Blog!!

Yes, we have been peer pressured into creating a blog to share our lives with you all (thanks to the Sink's and the Young's). We have been having so much fun with our daughter Peyton. She is a wild child, but so sweet and funny! We are so blessed and love her so much! And just so you know, she just launched her pacifier at my face! Little Miss Thing has a temper... must be those Young genes ;)

And just because I love blogs with lots of pictures, here are some pictures from Peyton's 1st birthday (April 25), as well as Easter.

More posts and pictures to come later!!
